Reporting: Data Quality - What Do the Error Flags Mean on the Data Completeness Report?

The information provided by the HMIS Data Completeness Report is intended to help you make corrections to client HMIS records within Community Services. Please contact the AKHMIS Help Desk for the fastest response to any questions.

This report has been structured to help users find and correct errors in client records.

Most columns correlate to questions in HMIS assessments, so you can easily find the question in an assessment that you need to address. Other columns provide information to help identify and/or correct errors in related assessment questions.

PLEASE only edit/update/add to client records with KNOWN, ACCURATE values.

You may not be able to correct all errors/flags this is fine. We ask you to PLEASE not alter or delete information or records just to remove flags.

 

Basic Flag Types

The following table describes the main categories of flags in the report:

Red Text

The value/response is missing or invalid in some way

    Does not receive a point

   The data needs to be entered or corrected, if possible


MISSING in all capital letters = the missing value is part of the Client Unique Identifier

The enrollment was entered while the user had their Enter Data As (EDA) set to a parent provider, not a project

    No points are given to the entire record

All data within this record is invalid and all Universal Data Elements (UDEs) in this record will be crossed out

The validity of the field cannot be determined due to an error with a related Universal Data Element

    Does not receive a point

*Requires a related data element to be updated before validity/completeness can be determined

Orange Text

The response is valid (receives a point) but still negatively affect data quality, and updates are encouraged if possible
