Data Elements: R2 RHY – Basic Center Program (BCP) Status
Data Element
R2 RHY - BCP Status serves a three-fold purpose:
- Enables a BCP emergency shelter to record a youth that is not eligible under the FYSB-RHY program and collect information about them. Upon reporting to RHY for the federal transfer, RHY can remove these youth from their program and congressional reports.
- Facilitates the local CoC (Continuum of Care) and HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) to utilize participation in BCP as part of their point-in-time and other counts and measures.
- Identifies the number of runaway youth.
The RHY-BCP status occurs on the date when eligibility for RHY Services has been determined. The RHYBCP date of status determination may be on or after the project start date.
