Data Elements: Alaska Mental Health Trust Disabilities

Clients'  self-identification of one or more of five different mental health-related disabilities:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias
  • Chronic Alcoholism or Other Substance Use Disorder
  • Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities
  • Mental Illness
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority is a state corporation that administers the Alaska Mental Health Trust, a perpetual trust, to improve the lives of beneficiaries. Click here to read the statutory definition of beneficiaries.

Alaska Mental Health Trust Disabilities is an Alaska Specific Data Element.

Collection Point

Individual Disabling Condition records may be created at project start, update, and project exit to reflect the information as of the date of each phase of data collection. Disabling Condition update records should be created at any time during a project stay if a client's disability status changes.

Collection of information related to the Alaska Mental Health Trust disabilities is critical to preserve this funding stream's availability.

Data Quality

On the Data Completeness Report the Alaska Mental Health Trust Disabilities will be flagged as an error if it is missing or if response is Data Not Collected. To correct: enter value, if known on Project Start Assessment, Project Exit Assessment, or Interim Assessment.
