Data Entry: How to Check Clients Out of Shelters

  1. Click on Shelters in the navigation pane.
  2. Provider - the information should match the EDA project. If it does not match or is not correct, go back and set the EDA correctly.
  3. Select Unit List – click on the down arrow in the selection box and click on the appropriate list.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. The Shelters Dashboard will appear. Click on the Transmit Today’s Check Out ListThe Express Check Out List will appear on the screen. 
  6. Current Check Out Date – ensure that the date is correct.
  7. Reason For Leaving – click on the down arrow and select the most appropriate response.
  8. Destination – click on the down arrow and select the most appropriate response. Response will usually be No exit interview completed.
  9. Click Check Out at the bottom right corner of the screen.

All clients will be exited, and the shelter unit list will be cleared of all client names. This step should be taken right before checking clients in to shelter the day after they were checked in. Now the shelter unit list is ready for the shelter check-in process.
