Data Quality: How to Correct Enrollment CoC Errors

Enrollment CoC” (formerly Client Location) is the Continuum of Care (CoC) of the project enrollment. One of two possible values must be selected: AK-500 Anchorage or AK-501 Alaska Balance of State.

Reasons that error occur in this data element :

 1.       The Enrollment CoC is missing or was not effective on the Project Start Date.

 2.       The Enrollment CoC and the CoC Code for the project/provider do not match.

How to fix

To address Enrollment CoC errors, follow these steps to review and update the record:

 1.      Set your EDA to the project of the enrollment you need to update.

 2.    Search for and enter the client record. (Note: No need to be in back date mode when just editing an Entry/Exit record.)  

 3.    In the Entry/Exit tab, click the edit pencil   to the left of the Project Start Date to open the Entry Assessment.

 4.      Click Save & Continue in the first pop-up to get to the Entry/Exit assessment data.

 5.      In the Entry/Exit Data window, scroll down to review the accuracy of the Enrollment data element.

a.       If the Enrollment CoC is missing, add the CoC of the project from the drop-down.

b.       If the Enrollment CoC (is inaccurate, update to the correct answer.

c.        If the Enrollment CoC  is accurate and the correct provider is being used, please contact the Alaska Help Desk (akhmis@icalliances.org) for assistance.

 6.      After updating, click Save & Exit.
